ABC offers classes in many dance forms from beginner through advanced levels.  We accept students ages 2 through adult.  There are two different tracks offered at ABC, as well as an opportunity to be part of ABC's contemporary dance company, "Metamorphosis". 

The recreational track offers various classes to students who take dance just for fun and want to learn to dance in a more social environment that allows for students to be involved in many other activities and requires minimal extra time outside of their normal class time.  They may participate in our annual holiday benefit performance, and our end of the year recital.  They are invited to participate in extra performances, parades, and workshops, but it is not required.

The performance team track is for more serious students who do not have as many other activities and have the ability to commit to a more rigorous dance schedule.  The performance team will perform at the annual holiday bennefit, Relay for Life performances, and all other local performances and parades.  They may also be asked to attend a small number of dance competitions.  They are required to take a weekly technique class, as well as any in studio workshops that we hold.  These dancers are also required to attend summer technique and occassional extra rehearsals when needed. 

The "Metamorphosis" Dance Company was formed two years ago with a goal to expand both the dancers and the communities experience with what purpose dance can serve.  Our goal at ABC has always been to give our students a solid foundation and technique to build upon and also to encourage them to be a part of their community and use the gift of dance to reach out to people and to make a difference.  The company focuses on contemporary dance and it's pieces always have a message to share with the audience.  Our first piece, "Rising Above", was about the Flood of '06 and how it affected the lives of not only the dancers, but the communities we live in.  We were fortunate enough to be invited and perform this piece both locally and at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall in NYC.  It was received so well that our dancers were invited to perform in London, England in 2012.  Our second major piece, "Carry You Home", was a piece about cancer that was created specifically for Relay for Life and to send a message of hope that we will fight this terrible disease and might some day find a cure.  We performed it locally, at Relay for Life, and were invited to perform it at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington, DC.   We have a lot of special things planned for our company this year and in the years ahead.  One performance we will be doing this year is at Alice Tully Hall (also part of Lincoln Center and the stage where American Ballet Theatre performs) in NYC for a black tie event.  We are thrilled to have this opportunity and look forward to our other future opportunities as well.

Our company members are also required to take both summer and fall technique, a ballet class, a contemporary class, and must commit to ALL performances and any extra rehearsals that are neccessary.

30 minute sm/lg group - $25.00 mo.

45 minute sm/lg group - $30.00 mo.

60 minute sm/lg group - $35.00 mo.

75 minute sm/lg group - $40.00 mo.

90 minute sm/lg group - $45.00 mo.

120 minute sm/lg group - $55.00 mo.

duet/trio - $450.00 annually (per person) - schedule will vary (Can be paid as one payment in beginning or stretched over the year)

solos - $600.00 annually - schedule will vary (Can be paid as one payment in beginning or stretched over the year)

 Students may opt to take unlimited classes.  This means that you can take as many classes as you wish, at a discounted rate.  This rate DOES NOT include solos or duets.  The unlimited rate is $160.00 for demonstrators and assistants, and $175.00 for those who do not demonstrate or assist.
