Recitals will begin on time! Curtain for both evening shows is 7pm and curtain for the matinee is 2pm. You must arrive atleast half an hour before showtime in full costume, hair and make-up! If you plan to get ready at the school or need some basic assistance, you must arrive one hour prior to showtime. Our teachers have a great deal to do during the shows. Please do not ask them to do your child's hair and make-up for you because they will not have the time. If you would like someone to teach you how to do the hair and make-up, we have many assistants that would be willing to meet you at the studio over the next 2 months to show you. Call the studio and we will set up appointments for you. Please don't wait until the last minute! These girls are also very busy!
Snacks:
We encourage our dancers to bring healthy snacks with them to rehearsals to nourish their bodies. Snacks can be eaten in the hallway, but not in the dressing rooms or auditorium. Please: no junk food! Chips, candy, and other junk food is prohibited! We want our dancers to be full of energy, not bogged down. Fruit, pretzels, carrot sticks, sandwiches and water work wonderfully!
Water Sales:
All Performance Team students need to pay Vickie Ball $5, so she can buy water to sell during the recital.
Rehearsal Week Barbeque:
Jim Davis, Kim Hoag and Steve VanDermark have donated their time to barbeque around dinner time for our dancers during rehearsal week. There will be a tip jar and money donated goes to covering food costs. Donated salads are appreciated!
Costumes, Hair and Make-up:
Costumes and shoes should have your child's name in them. Please have a bag or a tote with your child's name also that can be used to store things during the show. Every child MUST have their OWN make-up, bobby pins, hair ties, hair gel, hairspray, hairbrush, etc. We DO NOT supply those things for you. If you need to get those items, you can purchase them at Dancer's Paradise.
Cats:
One parent of each student must come backstage after the performance to remove and re-apply make-up.
Recital T-Shirts:
T-SHIRT MONEY IS DUE NOW!
Programs:
Our programs have been sent to print! Thank You to Sidney Favorite Printing for doing our programs once again this year. As always, they will feature every group photograph as well as both personal and business ads.
Flowers:
Envelopes for pre-order flowers are available in Dancer's Paradise. Arrangements for $10, $15 and $20 are being offered. A small number of flowers will also be available for purchase at the shows.
End of the Year Picnic:
It will be held July 12th at Oquaga Creek State Park, beginning at 1pm. Everyone is invited to come join in the fun and celebrate a fantastic year! Hotdogs and hamburgers are being supplied by the Booster Club. Please bring a dish to pass, own beverage and place settings. This is always a fun event and we look forward to seeing you there!
