Dear Parents and Students,
The year has been moving so quickly and recital is drawing near. Recital this year will be Friday, July 9th and Saturday, July 10th, tentatively at the Sidney High School auditorium. We will have two evening shows and one matinee show. Stage rehearsals for these shows will be Tuesday-Thursday from 10:00am-8:00pm. Please keep in mind that rehearsals are mandatory, but not all dancers will have to be at the rehearsals for all of these hours. You will get a detailed schedule in June. There are some events taking place between now and then that you should be aware of and put on your calendars. On April 30th our performance team and company dancers will be performing a benefit for our Relay for Life Team, Awareness Beats Cancer Dancers. Show is at 7pm at the Sidney High auditorium. Please come support our dancers & Relay for Life. All PT and co. students will also be performing at Relay for Life on Fri., May 7th. We will be ordering our recital shirts by the first week of June. The dancers wear their recital shirts and black leggings or black dance shorts for the finale. We usually take orders during picture week, that happens to fall on the first week of June. All orders and payments must be made that week as I will HAVE to place the order on that Friday. We will also be taking recital dvd orders from now until the last week of June. We have a professional videographer who comes to video for us and he does a great job. Please remember that there is NO other videotaping allowed during the recital. Prices for dvd’s are as follows: $36.00 for one, $70.00 for two, and $100.00 for three. All must be paid in full by the last week in June. Any not paid by then or ordered after that date will pay a higher price.($45.00 per dvd!) We get a discount for pre-ordering. We will be holding several dance outs in May and June. These are mini shows done in full costume to give the dancers an opportunity to perform in costume, in front of a smaller audience. I cannot give dates until I have approval for venues. Once I have that, I will give you the dates. Some may be scheduled on dance days to make it easier for people, as I understand how busy this time of year is. We have a tentative tap workshop with Tina Baird that will be held on Friday, June 4th, open to any tap student age 7 & up and is mandatory for any performance team tap student. Tina is a fun and energetic tap dancer and teacher from the Saratoga area. She has been here in past years and is looking forward to working with us again. We have the Sidney Hometown Day parade in Sidney on June 12th. All PT students are expected to participate in this performance and ALL ABC students are invited to participate! We have students who ride our float and who dance behind the float. Our plan is to incorporate some of the finale choreography into the parade number. We have the Sidney Music Festival performance on Saturday, July 17. Details to follow as soon as I have them! Please see the list of important dates on the back of this letter.

there by 5:30. You will be performing again around 8pm)

Tues.-Thurs., June 1-3rd - Studio Picture Days (Schedule is posted at the studio.) I will hand out copies
of the schedule in May. Recital shirt orders and money due.

Sat., June 12th - Sidney Hometown Day Parade (Line-up at 12:15 at Sidney High)
Tues.-Thurs., July 6-8th - Recital Rehearsal Week 10:00am-8:00pm at Sidney High auditorium
Fri. & Sat., July 9-10th - 17th Annual ABC Recital, “Take Off With Us” at Sidney High auditorium

We will begin taking registration for next year beginning May 1st. The sooner I have registrations, the sooner I can get a schedule done and out to you! Auditions for the ABC Performance Team and ABC contemporary company, Metamorphosis, will be held sometime in June or July. As soon as I have a date, I’ll let you know. Please note** There is a sign up at the studio for 5, 8, 10, 12 year awards. If you are to get one of these, please sign up ASAP. I do not keep track of that and you must sign up in order to receive one of these. You will only have until the 1st week of May to do so.
