The ability to experience dance in New York City is a truly inspiring privilage that few get to experience. At ABC we're proud to offer many trips to the Big Apple for workshops, performances and more! In July of 2008, eight of our ABC dancers took the city by storm to take part in the New York City Dance Allience's Summer Workshops. The girls experienced four days of intense dance classes where they learned amoung some of the most promising young dancers from all around the world. They took part in four classes a day in styles like Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Modern and Broadway from world famous dancer and choreographers including Sabra Johnson and Jaimie Goodwin from So You Think You Can Dance, Tony Testa from Dance On Sunset, and the founder and artistic director of Battleworks, Robert Battle. Our ABC dancers used their afternoons to experience the city, exploring Central Park, Times Square and Lincoln Center. They also had the experience to see Wicked! on Broadway and take a sunset cruise around Manhatten. It was a truely unforgetable experience. The girls turned from friends to sisters and the memories will never fade. We encourage all of our dancers to consider our summer trips to NYC: You won't regret it! *Please ask Christine or Amy about ABC's NYC trip options!
